Terms of service
Last updated: 2 November 2026
These terms apply to the use of ReasonableMoves (the "service"), provided by i-Help Networks, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 30157746 ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. The service
ReasonableMoves is an online chess opening trainer. You need an account to use it. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens under your account. One account is for one person.
2. Free trial
A new account starts with a free trial of 30 days with full access. No payment details are needed for the trial. When the trial ends, you can keep training with a paid subscription. If you don't subscribe, your account and your progress stay available, but training new lines needs a subscription.
3. Subscription and price
- The subscription costs €5 per month, or $5 per month if you pay in US dollars. Prices include VAT where applicable.
- The subscription renews every month and is charged automatically to the payment method you chose when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider Mollie B.V. We never see or store your full card details.
- We may change the price for future periods. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance by email; you can cancel before the new price applies.
4. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time in your account, under Subscription. No further payments are taken.
- After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for.
- Payments for months that have started are not refunded, except as described under 5.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of your first payment, without giving a reason. Email us at support@reasonablemoves.app and we will refund that first payment within 14 days, to the same payment method.
6. Failed payments
If a monthly payment fails, your subscription ends and training new lines is no longer possible until you subscribe again. Your progress is kept.
7. Fair use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break into it, to overload it, to scrape its data in bulk or to resell access. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules; in that case we refund any unused part of a paid month.
8. Availability and content
We do our best to keep the service available and correct, but we can't promise it will be free of interruptions or errors. Opening statistics and evaluations come from third parties (see About) and are offered as they are. Chess advice from the service is for training, not a guarantee of results.
9. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage. This limit does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. This deletes your progress and personal data as described in the privacy policy, and ends any subscription.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will tell you about important changes by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
12. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in. You can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Questions or complaints? Email support@reasonablemoves.app.
